The Musician In Me

Sri Om.

On this page, I want to share with you my love for good music. I've been learning singing since I was a child, and it is as though music was instilled in my blood. My whole family loves music, and from my brilliantly-voiced mother, I too grew an affinity for the music note within. Whether it be carnatic music or film music, you'll always find me humming or singing some melody.

Music to Admire -

What is in a voice? What is in a note? And when combined, what proof is there that it is heavenly? The answer is simple - it has soul.

My idol? M. S. Subbulakshmi.

I admire many singers, but there are few whose voices and compositions will live on forever, namely M S Subbulakshmi, Lata Mangeshkar, K. S. Chitra, A R Rahman, Ilayaraja and SPB. Others include Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sukhwinder Singh, Mohhammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Alka Yagnik, Asha Bhosle, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and Kumar Sanu.

I'd like to keep a record of the music that I've most admired in my life, and also want to share with you these evergreen melodies. Such music is so divine, it must be shared and admired -
